This innovative project has transmuted a neglected stretch of the Chambal river into a delightful and beguiling tourist attraction which will encompass admirers and recreation seekers in the educational hub of India - Kota. The educational hub will now also be known to dispense cultural endeavors. Inaugurated by the Rajasthan assembly speaker C.P. Joshi on 13th of September, the Chambal Kota Riverfront is India's first heritage riverfront that boasts the world’s tallest Nandi statue and grandiose Ghats.

The project has accumulated wide-spread acclamation for its cultural, financial and social benefits. The Chambal Riverfront project offers a splendid array of some 26 ghats each being a metaphor to the unique architectural style of our esteemed Indian subcontinent. One of the poignant ghats is the Rajputana Ghat. It exhibits the art and culture of nine regions of Rajasthan which are Shekhawati, Dhundhar, Marwar, Wagad, Mewar, Ahirwal, Mevat, Gorwar and Hadauti. Another remarkable one is the Literary Ghat which houses figurines of renowned authors and a library with an extensive collection of books. Furthermore the face mask of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru at Jawahar Ghat, the Natraj state at Nandi Ghat, a 225-foot-tall marble sculpture of Chambal Mata will be present to bewitch the visitors. The Ghanti Ghat at the riverfront possess the world's largest bell whose melody will be heard from as far as 10 kilometres.

The riverfront is believed to boost tourism in Kota and provide a new recreational opportunity for the people of the city and its visitors. It additionally is expected to attract foreign tourists.
